2 years ago tomorrow, Logan had his big surgery. I remember 2 years ago like it was yesterday. The feelings I had the night before surgery I can only explain as a crushed heart. I was so sad, sad that Logan would possibly be in pain. Sad I would clip his toe nails one last time. I was worried, worried about possible complications. Worried about handing him over to the doctor's and having his life in their hands.
2 years ago, I felt like my heart was torn into pieces.
The feelings hurt so bad then, but don't matter now. The worst was over the next day and our lives could begin without worry of "the surgery".
Tomorrow we plan to celebrate Logan's 2 year amputation anniversary! I can't wait to share photos of the day with you all.
I can't believe it has already been 2 years!
I am so proud of my son for all that he is. He truly is amazing!!

Wow...I can't wait to have "the surgery" behind us. Congratulations to you guys!
Wow, I can't believe it has been two years, you are a inspiration to us all! I think it was the scariest moment of my life, the time before Paddy went into surgery, you are right, once it is done you can only but move forward, a very good feeling. Hugs to Logan!
Somehow I didn't see the photo yesterday? It is such a beautiful photo Jenna, it made me feel very emotional, it sums everything up totally!
Our 14 month old daugther just had her surgery on Jan. 5th, 2009. She was already missing her lower right leg, but they needed to amputate a little more and they added some cushion to the bottom of her leg. I completely understand those emotions the night before the surgery. I felt physically ill and barely slept at all!!!!
