Every year after Christmas we drag our tree to the side of our house and leave it for months until we finally chop it up and put it into the yard waste. This year we decided that we would drag it to the curb and pay the boy scouts to pick it up. I got an envelope so you could put a donation in it and attach it to the tree. On the envelope it stated the date the tree would be picked up. I lost the envelope. So on Tuesday Brad put the tree at the curb. Today as I was getting ready I saw a truck with Christmas trees, I went running outside, wet hair, slippers on, Logan in my arms. I waved down the driver and explained I had lost the envelope but I handed him $10.00 cash. He asked me if they got our tree. I looked at the curb, smiled and said yes and headed back inside.
Brad got home and I told him how excited I was to catch the truck so I could pay them. Brad said,"oh did they get our tree?' I said "it wasn't on the curb" he said " I know, I put it around back yesterday".
Oh well, we tried, I guess we will chop it up in a few months.
